Welcome to Vacations on Earth
We have a passion for travelling across our beautiful land and we find ourselves jumping at any opportunity to do just that!
On our site, we share with you, our incredible journeys. The fabulous campsites, comfortable B&B’s, private self-catering cottages and some great five stars Hotel & Spa Resorts. We provide as many photos, fishing stories, tips, maps, checklists and useful numbers as possible. We provide the GPS coordinates wherever possible and include direct links to the relevant Resorts or place we’ve shared information about at the end of each page. Hoping that this will make it easy for you to find the applicable rate at the current time and to make any enquiries or bookings directly.
You can follow our journey in the trip reports found under the various country headings at the top of the page.
Under the Namibia heading, I am currently adding our latest trip we did in Dec 2015 – Jan 2016.
Completed trip reports include the following:
Fishing Spots in Namibia. A fisherman’s paradise consisting of forever changing sand and stone fishing spots along the Skeleton Coast.
Namibia 2013 – Inland – 3 weeks road trip, where we ventured into various untamed, wild areas of Namibia for some incredible game viewing and wildlife experiences. The drop down menu breaks the trip up into daily reports covering each section as thoroughly as possible.
Namibia 2014 – Skeleton Coast – 11 days road trip, where we flew in from Windhoek after leaving our vehicle in Namibia after our last 3-week inland trip. We spent some time at the coast before making our way down South.
Namibia to RSA (Republic of South Africa) – West Coast scenic route to Cape Town. This trip is well worth doing, especially in Spring time when all the flowers are out in full bloom. We pass all the little towns and some amazing camping spots on the way down.

We pampered ourselves to a week of 5-star Spa accommodation and treatments on the East Coast of South Africa. Romantic settings to perfection. I made a Garmin Adventure of the off-road route we took on the way down from Port St Johns and Coffee Bay where the road meanders between all the hillsides and townships. This slower, sightseeing route that took us most of the day and was well worth it. You’ll be able to follow this report slowly progressing under the main heading, South Africa and the subheading Eastern Cape .
In South Africa, under the heading of Western Cape, you will be able to see what Misverstand Dam is all about.
A months vacation in India is in progress. It was a whirlwind month that ended with millions of beautiful and memorable memories. We’d flown in via Doha and arrived in Delhi. We road tripped up to Agra and had a romantic and opulent stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas Hotel with The Taj Mahal view from our private balcony. We drove, flew, and moved around so much. I can’t wait to share the whole trip with you.
Thanking you for taking the time to visit us ♥ Through our pages, we hope you enjoy the journey with us.
